NMD 17 Rev 17 Mean Time 4a
In the previous study, NMD 16 Rev 16 7th Trumpet 7 bowls, we have studied the seven Bowl judgements. In the last bowl judgement the great Babylon was mentioned. In this study, NMD 17 Rev 17 Mean Time 4a, we will see what is meant with the great Babylon and what the judgements of the great Babylon cover. This part is also called in the mean time 4a.
In chapters NMD 17 Rev 17 Mean Time 4a and NMD 18 Rev 18 Mean Time 4b, we can hear more background information which we called in the mean time number 4. We have noted earlier on, with some surprise, that at the seventh bowl judgement Babylon the Great is suddenly mentioned. Previously it was just casually referred to when in Rev. 14:8 “another Angel” announcing the fall of Babylon, followed in Rev. 16.9 proclaiming the grim wrath of God.
For John all of this must have been a big mystery. In his time the greatness of Babel was a thing of the past although the city was still there. In order to understand God’s anger we will within the next 10 minutes refresh our memory of what happened in ancient times in Babylon and what happens today in our world.
Now let us study NMD 17 Rev 17 Mean Time 4a The Judgement over Babylon.
