NMD 00 Rev Introduction
As you can see in verse 6 there will be No More Delay. What that means exactly and in what context it is said, will be explained later, when we study Revelation 10. The design and creation of the sheets are prepared by Hans van Wingerden, the reading of the scriptures are by Patricia van Wingerden and the text editing by Pat Rauch. The Reverend Wim Embregts is also taking part in the project. He has been a minister, a Bible teacher and a teacher in the Dutch Bible school for more than 60 years. Furthermore he has written more than 10 books as well as many articles on the Bible being published. If during this study there is anything which is not clear or needs to be investigated in more detail, Patricia will ask additional questions.
Before we start with the study we would like to show you the interrelationship of the dispensations of the plan of God. The centre of it all is God on His throne, His Son and the Holy Spirit the Counsellor. The history described in the Bible from Genesis until Revelation can be divided into 7 Dispensations. Each part will be closed after a given time and the next part is started. In these dispensations God is trying to make contact with mankind to show them the way to glory and righteousness. In general mankind refuses and turns further away from Him. Yet the Creator’s plan for mankind will be fulfilled.
Maybe you will ask yourself the question: Why then has the Creator created us like this? The Creator created us with our own will and desire. He is asking of us in relation to acknowledgment of Him, respect, love for your fellow man, obedience, and righteousness. So every human being can make his own choice.
A choice for God is an everlasting life with Him. Automatically the question arises: Why has God not created us so that we will always obey Him? The answer to that question is very essential yet simple: God did not create us as robots but as human beings with our own will and desire. To tell you the truth I am very pleased to have my own will and desire, but that means every one must make a choice are you for God or not for God. There is no in-between. With that choice your final destination is defined. Revelation described what will happen at the end of time for those who made a choice for Him and for those who resist Him.
